What is the National Pharmacists Convention (NPC)?

National Pharmacists Convention (NPC) is an annual convention organised by Malaysian Pharmacists Society, that gathers all the pharmacists from various sectors throughout the nation for a productive exchange of knowledge and experience. This is an important event that aimed to further empower and promote the growth of the pharmacy profession, vital in the ever-changing healthcare landscape in the nation.

NPC also provides a platform for scientific poster presentations. The purpose is to encourage the dissemination of a high-level summary of their research findings and discoveries to the community.

What is the significance of this year's theme?

The theme for this year’s NPC is “Pharmacy Of The Future : Embracing Innovative Practices”. The primary goal is to showcase the latest innovations and emerging trends in pharmacy, fostering a forward-looking perspective among professionals in the field. By focusing on cutting-edge practices, technological advancements, and revolutionary approaches to patient care and pharmaceutical management, the conference seeks to inspire and empower attendees to integrate these innovations into their practice, ultimately enhancing patient care and advancing the pharmacy profession.

Who are the Organising Committee of the National Pharmacists Convention (NPC)?

The NPC Organising Committee is recruited yearly. For 2025, the Chairman is Tan Zhi Shan Sujata from the Bahagian Perkhidmatan Farmasi, Jabatan Kesihatan W.P. Labuan . Should you wish to contact him, kindly email us at npc@mps.org.my, and the NPC Administrator will channel it to her for further action.

Will we be issued certificates for attending the National Pharmacists Convention (NPC)?

E-certificates will be issued to delegates who attend the entire 3-day convention. No daily or session certificates will be provided for partial attendance. Attendance is tracked daily and you may need to complete a post-convention survey before downloading your certificate.

How many CPD points will I get for attending the National Pharmacists Convention (NPC)?

Attending all 3 days of the Convention earns you 20 CPD points.

I am unable to attend the whole NPC. How will that affect my CPD points?

CPD points are only awarded to delegates who attend the entire Convention. MPS does not award partial CPD points for incomplete attendance.
